Nothing could have prepared me enough for the one year Instructor Training course with Dynamic; the scale of adventures, depth of learning, wilderness immersion and the utter enjoyment of the whole thing was immense.

I have nothing but good things to say and honestly, everything which DA will tell you about the course is true. And SOMEHOW even when I was told “it’s the best instructor training programme in the world”, it still exceeded my expectations..?!

If you’re looking for one year of top quality adventures, learning from some truly passionate and inspiring teachers in some of the best places in the world, with a group of like-minded individuals, then get involved. You won’t regret it!

An invaluable experience for an undoubtably reasonable price.

I gained loads of experience, and it was my first insight into the outdoors. I had a job lined up with Eco Adventure in the UAE, so as soon as the course finished I headed there to work as an instructor. I’m now senior instructor of land and rope based activities in the desert, and look after two sites, as well as staff training for a team of 25.

I’d really recommend the course for anyone who wants to get into the outdoor industry, even if you’ve already done a season, but looking to gain more qualifications - I got loads! Having now spoken to people working in the outdoors who came from similar courses, I really feel like Dynamic Adventures’ course is the best in the UK, and I can’t speak highly enough of the team, and am still good friends with a number of my fellow trainees from my year, as well as having worked with one since. Because of their links and reputation, it turned out to be a good way to network with other outdoor people after the course finished, a good thing to have up your sleeve. Oh and it was great fun!

Stuart and I chose the Dynamic Adventures course as a part of a total career and lifetstyle change. The intensive year long course was perfect for us as it meant we could dedicate 100% of our time to gaining the qualifications and experience needed to create our own venture into the outdoor industry. After completing our year we returned north to set up Take 2 Adventure, a mobile company offering outdoor education and adventure camps to primary schools. We also freelance doing DofE and overseas expeditions.

Joining Dynamic was by far one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences and we have gained the most amazing memories with lifelong friends.

After four years of classroom teaching, I wanted to combine my enjoyment of teaching with my love for the outdoors, and was looking for a pathway to gain hands on experience along with qualifications and training, that would make me employable. After researching a number of different companies, I settled on Dynamic Adventures, as it ticked all the boxes and I loved the small scale, family feel of it.

All the team are passionate about making sure that you get the most out of your time. I loved exploring the UK and trying a range of activities, but also the chance to gain work experience with many different groups and in different settings. The training on the course, working with experienced and qualified instructors, and gaining a number of valuable qualifications has meant that in my work now in Asia, I can bring a level of professionalism and experience that is valuable to the companies that I work with.

I chose Dynamic Adventures for my one year Outdoor Instructor Course as they offer a perfect balance of outdoor NGB qualifications, from rock and water, to wheels and mountains, something other companies just could not offer. But most importantly, real-world experience with various groups from corporate team building, scouts, pupil referral groups, to disability groups and individual families, allowing me to leave the course having confidence in my instructing abilities.

This gave me a great springboard into the outdoor industry, something that was important to me, due to changing careers in my late 30’s. I left the course and kick-started my outdoor career confidently, with all the necessary tools, and have never looked back.

I joined the Dynamic Adventures Outdoor Instructor Training scheme at 18, with knowledge of hill walking but little experience in any other outdoor sports. A year later I finished the course having gained several outdoor qualifications, experienced four new countries and attracted a network of outdoor friendships, up and down the UK. I had trained and assessed DofE students, logged over 70 quality mountain and climbing days, and delivered bespoke outdoor sessions with a wide variety of clients.

More than these measurable outcomes, I left with the confidence I could create a fulfilling career for myself in the outdoor industry.

The Experience and support of the staff team allowed me to discover my strengths, without ignoring me weaknesses. This made me easily employable upon the leaving the course, with a year of varied hands-on experience behind me.

Four years on and I now live in the Scottish Highlands, working for an Outward Bound centre. I continue to learn and build on the immense fundamental training I had. I would not have become the happy outdoor instructor I am, had it not been for Dynamic Adventures.
